ARCHIVED EVENT: The Diavolo Residency:

10.26.11

One of the best things about skateboarding is that kids get to try a trick over and over again until they get it right, usually without a coach or a parent telling the what they’re doing wrong. Teens, and anyone into skateboarding, can watch a dance troop called The Diavolo Residency in rehearsal, work out their moves on huge skateboarding ramps staged outside at The Music Center as part of the first open residency program at The Music Center, as part of Pacific Standard Time. Come for a FREE screening of Dogtown and Z-Boys, the fabulous documentary about the birth of skate culture in Southern California (or, watch it at home but not with kids under 13). Then, come watch the performers in live rehearsal at the dates listed below:

WHERE: Music Center Plaza
HOW MUCH: Film screening and rehearsals are open and FREE to the public. Skateboarding is prohibited on the Plaza. Bring your love of skateboards and leave the tricks to the dancers!
