Described by LA Weekly as “one of the most thrilling young acts on the planet,” Fishtank Ensemble draws from a variety of musical styles and traditions, including Turkish, Romanian, French hot jazz, Balkan, Greek, and more!
Fishtank Ensemble formed in 2005, and the Los Angeles–based band plays an assortment of musical instruments, from violins and bass to musical saw, flamenco andgitano jazz guitar, vocals, and even a banjolele. They have performed their energetic music to audiences at clubs, festivals, museums, and even on the street. In 2014, Fishtank Ensemble released their latest album, Edge of the World.
Fishtank Ensemble will perform on Saturday, July 25 at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM at the Skirball in lieu of the previously announced performance by the Two Man Gentlemen Band. See you there!
