Here’s a round up of books we’re enjoying right now that span the globe in topic — from parenting to politics to pure pleasure. KOTCreadingSonya Sotomayer’s autobiography My Beloved World chronicles her path from an underprivileged child suffering from Juvenile Diabetes to the top of her class at Princeton to her appointment as the first Hispanic and third woman on the Supreme Court. Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, Death and Hope in a Mumbai Undercity by Pulitzer Prize-winning author and MacArthur “Genius” Award winner Katherine Boo made multiple Best Books of 2012 lists. Lawrence Wright won a Pulitzer Prize for his investigation into 9/11, The Looming Tower, and his just-released Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and The Prison of Belief is on plenty of high-powered bedside tables this month.  Finally, for short story aficionados, George Saunders’ new collection Tenth of December is already being hailed as one of the Best Books of 2013.

News Flash: We have just received a copy of Top Dog by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman (who penned the bestseller NurtureShock) and will be inviting you to an event with the authors in the near future.
